Today, we took Dad in for his 2nd chemotherapy treatment. We stayed a little while with him and waited for the doctor to come see him so we could make sure he got his questions answered. He has been having pain in his legs up into his buttocks. He describes it as nerve pain. He asked his oncologist about it, and she scheduled an x-ray of his pelvic area and a MRI of his brain and spine. This has us concerned that the doctor may believe Dad’s cancer has spread to his brain or spine.
We took him for the x-ray right after his chemo treatment was complete, but the MRI has to be scheduled, and his oncologist said that she will need an approval from his insurance company first.
